Consultant Gynaecologist & Fertility Specialist

Dr Ben Jones is a leading Consultant Gynaecologist and Fertility Specialist, with honorary consultant roles at Imperial College Healthcare and Oxford University Hospitals. He trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at some of London's most renowned hospitals and became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015. He completed advanced surgical training in hysteroscopy and reproductive surgery, with a specialist focus on fertility preservation and restoration.

A passionate academic and internationally recognised expert, Dr Jones holds a PhD in fertility preservation, with pioneering research spanning egg freezing, uterus transplantation, ovarian cortex cryopreservation, and the effects of sport on female fertility. He has published over 110 peer-reviewed papers, authored a book and numerous textbook chapters, and lectures internationally on his research interests.

Dr Jones was a key member of the team behind the UK's first uterus transplant and continues to lead in this field as Principal Investigator for the deceased donor programme at Imperial College London and helps coordinate the living donor programme. He is a founding member of the International Society of Uterus Transplantation and an Expert Advisory Group member for the Wellcome Trust's 'Future of Human Reproduction' initiative.
